If you’re like most Travel Town players, energy is probably the resource you run out of the fastest.
When I first started playing, I used to merge everything immediately and open every reward bubble as soon as I got it. After a while, I realized I was wasting a lot of energy and missing better opportunities during events.
Here are 3 simple tips that made a noticeable difference in my gameplay.
1. Merge During Events
One of the easiest ways to get better rewards is to save higher-level items and merge them when an event is active.
Event rewards are often much more valuable than normal gameplay rewards, so timing your merges can help you progress faster without spending extra energy.
2. Keep One Empty Slot
It sounds simple, but having at least one empty space on your board makes organizing item chains much easier.
This small habit can help you:
- Avoid accidental merges
- Move items more efficiently
- Complete quests faster
3. Don’t Open All Reward Bubbles Immediately
Many players open every reward bubble the moment it appears.
Instead, try saving some of them for future quests or event objectives. This gives you extra flexibility when new tasks appear and can reduce the amount of additional energy you need to spend later.
The Tip That Helped Me the Most
The biggest improvement came from learning when not to merge.
Once I started timing my merges around events instead of merging everything immediately, my progress became much more efficient.
